FIP partnered with the Racine Police Department in Wisconsin to provide training on implicit bias. The class was taught by Noble Wray, former Madison police chief and Executive-Level Instructor for FIP.
“Implicit bias is not only what you’re dealing with at the time, a traffic stop, a domestic violence call, but it’s also your history, your past. You bring all that in to that particular moment, and so what we’re trying to do here is to help police officers understand, one, that that occurs and two, what are some options?” Wray said.
