Police – Procedural Justice Line-level Officers
(4 hours, 30 attendees)
This course is intended for line-level officers and focuses on the ways procedural justice manifests, including external procedural justice (interactions with the community), and internal procedural justice (interactions with colleagues). This course also addresses the role procedural justice plays in achieving law enforcement legitimacy.
At the end of this training patrol officers will be able to:
- Define procedural justice,
- Identify the four elements of procedural justice,
- Discuss each element of procedural justice and what it looks like in daily practice,
- Discuss the challenges of implementing the four elements of procedural justice, and
- Identify the link between internal procedural justice and officer job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
