Training Programs
Government Personnel – Non-Supervisory
(4 hours, 30 attendees)
Designed for front-line workers or those in a non-supervisory role—employees who are customer-facing and provide direct services to their communities. This course provides a strong understanding of the modern science of bias and how it applies to the daily work and decision-making of these government employees. Participants who complete this course will:
- Understand that even well-intentioned people have biases.
- Understand how implicit biases impact on our perceptions and behaviors.
- Understand that fair and impartial behavior produces effective decision-making.
- Implement skills for producing bias-free and inclusive behavior in their professional (and personal) lives.
Option: Agency may include our Diversity and Inclusion training module that (1) introduces trainees to these concepts, (2) illustrates how they add value to the workplace, (3) identifies strategies for creating a more inclusive workplace.
