Government Personnel – Executive Leadership
(4 hours, 30 attendees)
This unique course is led as a working group for agency executives, directors, and leaders. This training covers the science of bias and its implications for government officials. It also addresses what leaders need to do—beyond providing implicit bias, DEI, or similar training to personnel—to promote fair and impartial government. Discussion addresses recruitment & hiring, leadership & supervision, and implementing structures/mechanisms to reduce the risk of bias on the part of personnel. Leaders exit the training with the elements of an action plan for strengthening the agency’s efforts to promote fair and impartial government.
