Government – Leaders/Supervisors

Our government agencies have a responsibility to deliver quality services to all community members fairly and impartially. Yet, even the best government institutions, because they hire humans, will experience biased decision-making and behavior. Participants in this course—designed for those who hold leadership/supervisory positions within a government agency—will learn about the science of bias and how bias might manifest in government agencies. They will learn how to:
- Reduce and manage their biases
- Supervise to promote impartial government
- Develop a culture of impartial policing
- Adopt policies and practices to reduce the risk of biased behavior inside their agency
